Let's Get To Work

To all drivers, fans, sponsors and supporters of Casino Speedway----- As the racing season is fast approaching and as we all gear up for the new adventures that lie ahead, we would like to clarify a few things regarding Casino Speedway and its future. As many of you are well aware, many changes have taken place over the course of the past 6 months. We are aware that many of you have questions and that different stories have surfaced. The intent of this letter is to clarify things so there are no more or fewer questions regarding Casino Speedway in 2016.

As it was announced on our Facebook page (Casino Speedway) on March 25th, we (Todd & Vicki Good) are indeed the new promoters at the race track. At this time, we also have a deal in place to purchase the track which will make us the sole owners. We will be the only ones in charge during the 2016 race season and will make the day to day decisions regarding the race track. All decisions will be ours. We do not have any partners. Todd and Kathy Brink will be around this year to help us during the transition, as we take over... to help lighten the burden and ease the learning curve. What other changes will you see? We have already lined up a new track announcer. We have also hired a new flagman. We will have a new start time of 6:30 p.m. which will be for EVERY event held at Casino Speedway. The new start time will also help us in the battle of keeping the racing surface racy. The new start time will be exactly that….starting on time is something we will do. We will also keep the show moving. Getting done at a decent time is just as important as starting on time. We will also strive to give multiple grooves for our racers. Right now we are currently looking for new dirt for the track, along with reaching out looking for ways to prep our track and keep it acceptable for both drivers and fans. Another change in 2016, will be that ALL drivers & crew members will be required to pay at the back gate before parking the rigs and/or entering into the pits. In turn, driver payouts will be paid at the end of each & every race night. Checks will always be available before you leave our facility after a night of racing. Vicki & I also encourage all drivers to go to our website and download the Driver Information sheet. Print the sheet and fill it out before you come to the track on opening night so we can get all the driver rigs into the pits in a timely manner. The driver information sheets must be completed before a car goes out on the track.

We understand that the racing is what people come to our track for. Both the drivers and the fans want a positive experience and that is our main goal. Will it all happen by opening night? We would like to think so but we also realize this is a huge burden that will take time. We will strive to make it the best racing possible and at the same time we will learn as we go. We may make a few mistakes along the way but plan to keep improving as we go at the same time. We know that without both the drivers and the fans we cannot succeed and vow to get Casino Speedway back to a place people talk about and want to go.

We know we have a long ways to go and know that we need to prove ourselves, but also plan on putting 100% of positive energy into Casino Speedway for a long time. We have lots of work ahead of us but have also already started getting things in place. Sunday, April 24th is just a couple short weeks away, which is the day of our Car Show at the Codington County Extension Building followed by our Test N' Tune at the track. Our opening night of the 2016 racing season will be Sunday, May 1st sponsored by Hy-Vee. Race time is 6:30 pm. We hope to see you all there. Thank you again for your time and we hope you will give us the opportunity to show you that we really do want to turn Casino Speedway around. We cannot do it without the racers, fans, sponsors, track workers and all the others that support the great sport of auto racing. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact Todd Good at 605-881-5219.

Sincerely
Todd & Vicki Good
