Some people say change is good... Well, at the Casino Speedway change is a way of life. With the make-up of the June 8th Late Model feature, a total of five features were run Sunday evening at the Casino Speedway and five different drivers picked up a feature win.

Chad Willmott grabbed his second WISSOTA Street stock feature win of the year by taking the checkered flag ahead of White's Wade Tirrel and Tony Konold of Clear Lake. Street Stock heat race winners were Jason Marko and Rick Reis, both of Watertown. Tirrel leads the track point standings... by 21 points over Conde's Lance Haskell. (Originally Jason Grabow of Milbank was first across the finish line in the WISSOTA Street Stock feature race but Grabow's car was declare illegal and the win was awarded to Chad Willmott.)

In the WISSOTA Modified feature, #37 Scott Ward of Watertown snared his first feature win of the 2008 season. Todd Stark and Danny Hall, both of Watertown, finished second and third respectively. Ward, Kent Arment of Aberdeen and Joel Waba of Watertown each won Modified heat races. Joel Waba currently leads the track point standing over Scott Ward by 11 points.

Dustin Holtquist of Milbank took the Casino Cruiser feature over Tim Nisich of Watertown. Marcy Rossow of Florence rounded out the top three. The Cruiser heat races were won by Rossow, Caleb McGuire of Watertown and Doug Jenner, also of Watertown. Holtquist leads the Cruiser point standing by 3 points over Marcy Rossow.

In WISSOTA Late Model action, Chad Becker of Aberdeen grabbed the lead early and held of numerous challengers to earn his second A-Main victory of the year. Scott Ward of Watertown and Shawn Malsam of Aberdeen finished second and third respectively. Kent Arment holds a 25 point lead over Watertown's Chad Williamson in the track point standings.

In the make-up of the rained-out June 8th WISSOTA Late Model feature, veterans Curt Gelling and Kent Arment exchanged the lead several times... But Gelling had the last laugh, making the final pass in the closing laps for the feature win. Chad Williamson of Watertown finished third behind Arment. Gelling and Shawn Malsam of Aberdeen each won the Late Model heat races on June 8th before the rain halted action.

The racing action continues this Thursday night at 7 pm for the USMTS Modified Special... Jon Tesch of Watertown and his fellow USMTS drivers (plus all your local favorites) invade the Casino Speedway for the 4th Annual Team Electronics Summer Slam for what promises to be the fastest-paced action of the year... "These aren't your Momma's modifieds!"
