What a great night of fast-paced hard-nosed action Sunday evening at the Casino Speedway. Excitement was in the air as 70 cars took to the track which crowned four new 2008 feature winners during the show.
WISSOTA Street Stock 2007 Casino Speedway track champion, Wade Tirrel of White picked off his first A-main win of the year, followed closely by Reed Storley and Troy Randall, both of Watertown. The heat race winners were Tirrel and Storley.
Joel Waba of Watertown topped a crash plaqued WISSOTA Modified feature ahead of Jason Heinrich of Madison, MN and Todd Stark of Watertown. The modified heat race winners were 2008 points leader Kent Arment of Aberdeen, Danny Hall of Watertown and Scott Ward of Watertown.
In WISSOTA Late Model action, Scott Ward answered the bell early and held on to take the feature win. Aberdeen's Kent Arment and Curt Gelling finished second and third respectively. Gelling and Brady Johanneck of Spicer, MN were the heat race winners.
In the Casino Cruisers division, Tim Nisich of Watertown collected his first feature trophy of the year by crossing the finish line ahead of Milbank's Dustin Holtquist and Doug Jenner of Watertown. The heat race winners were Holtquist and Caleb McGuire of Watertown.
