For 2009, the Casino Speedway has named ALLTEL Wireless as the Title Sponsor. Through this sponsorship, the Casino Speedway has created the ALLTEL Challenge of Champions Track Series. Drivers will be awarded track points (no show points) for 15 selected races during the 2009 track season. At the end of the 15 races, the top 15-20 drivers (exact number to be determined) of all classes combined will be awarded a sliding payout from the drivers point fund. All Casino Speedway competitors are elgible to compete for ALLTEL Challenge of Champions points, but participation is not mandatory. To be elgible, the drivers must place ALLTEL stickers on each side of their car for the duration of the 15 races. These stickers will available at the track. The Casino Speedway is currently undergoing a facelift and race fans will notice several changes and a few pleasant surprises on opening night, Sunday, May 3rd. The Casino Speedway has acquired airport land adjacent to the south-side of the track. This land house will house a new and expanded pit area, plus addition parking for race fans. There should be no excuse for not finding a parking place now. New track lighting is also currently being installed at the track and the new "winner's circle" is almost complete. It's an exciting time at the track as the "World Center of Speed" keeps getting better and better for the drivers and the race fans.
But even though changes will be evident, the some things have stayed the same. The track still features the same great food and drink, the RC Technologies candy-toss for the youngsters, and the awesome door-to-door, fender-to-fender fast-paced action that makes the Casino Speedway the place to be every racing evening throughout the summer. Plus the Casino Speedway has held the line on admission prices, so everyone can enjoy this American & South Dakota tradition. So whether your a hard-core dirt fan, a casual once-in-while fan, or someone who has never experienced dirt track racing at its finest... Come check out the 2009 season at the Casino Speedway. Chances are.... you won't regret it.
